Acts 1:12-26. Following the ascension of Jesus, the disciples gathered in prayer as they prepared for the coming of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost. This message explores the significance of the counting of the Omer, the appointment of Matthias as the twelfth apostle, and how these events fit into God’s unfolding purposes.
Acts1:1-11. The Opening Chapter of Acts prepares us for the transition from Christ’s earthly ministry to His continuing work through the Church, empowered by the Holy Spirit. As Jesus ascends back to heaven, the disciples are left with a mission as His witnesses to take the gospel to the ends of the earth.
Ephesians 6:10-17. The Spiritual Armour in Ephesians 6: is not some “magical formula” that we pray for, but a metaphor for the doctrines and spiritual realities that each believer must know and actively appropriate by faith. When we stand in these high truths of the gospel, then we are able to resist our adversary.
Ephesians 6:1-9. What are the attitudes and responsibilities we should have as Christian parents, children, bosses and workers? Paul now addresses the walk of the believer in terms of these important relationships and how we should live them in light of the most important relationship, namely our relationship with Christ.
Ephesians 5:8-21. Christians are called to live in a manner worthy of their new identity in Christ. This is only possible through the Holy Spirit who is in us. We must yield to the Spirit each day to be filled, walking in the light, wisdom and redeeming the time.
