1 Sam 14:1-23. Jonathan went forward by faith, with his armoured bearer right behind him. They believed that God could give them the victory, even though they were vastly outnumbered. Let’s not limit ourselves by ourselves, for God is with us! 

1 Sam 13:1-23. Plagued by insecurity, Saul chose to disobey God and follow his own way. In his self-defence, he blames Samuel, the people, and the Philistines. He leaves a valuable lesson for us all, that honouring God’s way by faith and humility can save us so much trouble.
